AUTISM AFFECTS AT LEAST 1 in 100 people and this figure is rising. Cumbria’s population is approx. 500,000. Cumbria County Council (2020) figures show that there are 5,353 Adults in Cumbria with Autism, but fewer are known to Services.

The people behind Team Autism

Susan Mackenzie

Founder and Director

Susan is the Mum of Daniella. She has gained more knowledge and experience about Autism through her work at an Autism Charity, working one to one with Autistic adults and studied through Open University. Susan is passionate about Autistic adults overcoming Obstacles to achieve their potential and mediation when relationships Have broken down. Susan also saw a need for Parents and family of Autistic Adults to be supported in understanding how Autism affects the individual and how to maintain a good relationship with them

Pamela Savage

Director

Pam is a retired Care worker, who has not retired from caring about People. She is passionate about helping those who are socially excluded in society.

Stef Healey

Director

Stef is a wonderful mum to a growing family, including an Autistic son. She has a degree in Social Work and has worked one to one supporting Autistic adults and children. Stef’s lived by experience and professional knowledge is an asset to the team.

Daniella Sheridan

Volunteer at Team Autism

Daniella was diagnosed Autistic in 2019 as an adult. She is passionate about raising awareness of Autism and helping Autistic Adults to understand their own Autism.
